2013:
(Adam Gase offensive Coordinator for Denver Broncos)
Knowshon Moreno - Week 1-16
- He handled the rock for the Broncos all season and had 301 touches over 16 games. 18.8 touches per game for the lead back.
2014:
(Adam Gase offensive Coordinator for Denver Broncos)
This was a tricky year for the Denver backfield. Monte Ball and Ronnie Hillman handled a lot of work early in the season and then second year back CJ Anderson took over in week 12. The problem with the first two guys was health, but while they were on the field it is clear Gase wanted a workhorse.
Monte Ball - Week 1-3
- Ball had 56 touches over the first three weeks before an injury. 18.7 touches per game.
Ronnie Hillman - Week 6-9
- Hillman had 85 touches over these four weeks before going down. 21.3 touches per game.
CJ Anderson - Week 12-playoffs
- Anderson had a whopping 182 touches over this span for 26 touches per game.
2015:
(Adam Gase offensive Coordinator for Chicago Bears)
Matt Forte - Week 1-6 & 12-17
- Forte was at full health in these weeks 1-6 and had 147 touches for 21 touches per game.
- He came back from injury and Gase kept Langford in the mix, assuming because Forte was due a contract extension and the young back in Langford looked to be their future. But still in his return Forte had 101 touches over that span for 16.8 touches per game.
Jeremy Langford - Week 9-11
- Langford filled in full time for three weeks and had 64 touches. 21.3 touches per game.
